For more than two decades, leaders in the home care, home health, hospice and behavioral health industries have trusted Stoneridge Partners to help them plan for their companies’ future success.
Founded in 2000 by Master Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Intermediary Don Cummins, Stoneridge Partners distinguished itself from other general business brokers by initially focusing solely on transactions for home health agencies. There was a great deal of upheaval in the home health industry at the time, as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) transitioned from its previous cost reimbursement model to the prospective payment system. Home health executives were looking for a trusted partner who could advise them on planning for the future, and Stoneridge Partners ably met that need.
As Stoneridge grew, Don sought out industry experts to join his team – advisors who had career experience working in executive-level roles in healthcare operations and development. Adding their expertise allowed the firm to grow its advisory services to include the home care, hospice and behavioral health fields as well.
Don transitioned to Partner Emeritus status in 2015, and today he serves as an advisor to the Stoneridge team. Under the firm’s current leadership, Stoneridge moved its corporate office to Louisville, KY and added offices in Texas and Arizona. And in 2019, the firm launched its Strategic Consulting Group to leverage the company’s decades of experience and access to proprietary healthcare data on behalf of its clients.
Thanks to the company’s years of experience managing complex transactions for home health, home care, hospice and behavioral health companies, buyers and sellers know that when they need answers, they can turn to Stoneridge Partners.
