Don Cummins

Stoneridge Partners | Don Cummins, RPh, Founder and Master M&A Intermediary, began his career as a Pharmacist. After he received his Pharmacy degree from Drake University, Don worked for Walgreens and became manager of several Chicago stores. Later, he become part owner and president of a mid-size Chicago area business.

In 1983, he founded Cummins & Associates, a general business brokerage and M&A firm in Florida, overseeing the sales of hundreds of businesses. Don sold this business in 1996 and joined Telesis, a national merger and acquisition firm specializing in sales of mid-market home care companies.

In 2001, Don founded Stoneridge Partners, where he has provided advisory services for more than 140 transactions of mid-market home care agencies and hospices. “I enjoy the personal connections I develop with business owners,” explains Don. “The more I can learn about the owners, their families, and their goals, the better job I can do in helping them to attain those goals.

As a member of Merger & Acquisition Source, a professional association of mid-market intermediaries, he furthered his knowledge of business sales by attending conferences and completing education courses. In 2003, Don was awarded the highest designation, MMAI (Master Merger & Acquisitions Intermediary), a designation held by less than 100 individuals.

Don has authored numerous articles on business sales and brokerage, including the popular FAQ: Selling A Healthcare Agency on our website. He is also a frequent speaker and expert witness on matters involving business sales. His background in healthcare combined with his encyclopedic knowledge of business transactions makes him valuable in any home care transaction.
