Stoneridge Partners | Barbara James, Director, Data Research – After attending Millikin University and Elmhurst College, Barbara graduated as a Registered Nurse from DePaul Hospital in St. Louis. For 15 years, Barbara specialized in maternal infant health, starting in the neonatal intensive care unit and transitioning through labor and delivery. She was a supervisor of level two nursery and eventually became supervisor of an OB/GYN nursery department at a small hospital in central Florida.

In Florida, Barbara changed her focus to home health. She spent over 12 years in this field working in cardiac care and wound management and as an infusion specialist, a community coordinator and a discharge planner. She also spent three years developing and instructing an Adult Education CNA program for a Florida county.

She retired from nursing in 2002 and joined Stoneridge Partners as Director of Data Research. Barbara works behind the scenes researching and compiling information for the firm’s robust Goldmine customer relationship management (CRM) system.

After almost two decades in the healthcare mergers and acquisitions industry, Barbara has a pulse on the market. She has an uncanny ability coupled with a diligence to find information. Barb’s knowledge, skillful research skills and industry relationships are a tremendous asset to the firm.
